MODERN METALLICS & PATTERN PLAY – H&M HOME UNVEILS COLLABORATION WITH RABANNE

The H&M HOME collection, designed in partnership with Rabanne’s Creative Director Julien Dossena, provides a sophisticated counterpoint to the womenswear, menswear and accessories designs, and is the most comprehensive interiors offering yet for an H&M designer collaboration.

Rendered in the house’s signature metallics, offset with geometric 1970s-inspired prints, the collection spans furniture, lighting, table-top accessories, loungewear, and soft furnishings. Key pieces include the metallic sequin curtain, which draws on an iconic design from the house’s homeware archives; a sequin embellished lamp, which has synergies with the collection’s partywear; and a graphic metallic stool. Equally playful is the spread of accessories, including metallic vases, candleholders and goblets, alongside monogrammed trays, bottles, a set of dice and a deck of playing cards presented in an elegant silver case. Then there is the range of organic cotton and luxurious wool loungewear, comprising monogrammed towels, blankets and robes, as well as eye-catching cushions and rugs in a striking geometric print.

“While this was my first experience designing homeware and objects, our founder Paco Rabanne designed some emblematic metallic furniture in the 1970s, so this interiors collection felt like an authentic extension for the house. I wanted to embellish the lifestyle element of the ready-to-wear collection to incorporate home décor items that complemented the luxurious mood of enjoyment. There’s a fantastic silver lamp, for instance, that shimmers like the paillette party dresses, offering an innovative take on a Rabanne icon,”

says Julien Dossena, Creative Director of Rabanne.

All the pieces in the collection are designed with statement-making in mind, from glamorous decorative furniture to sculptural accessories. Crafted in high-quality materials including Stainless Steel, post-consumer recycled zinc, recycled polyester, organic cotton and wool, the collection has a focus on durability, with items designed to be long-lasting and timeless.

“At H&M HOME, we are always looking for opportunities to offer our customers something really unique, and to showcase a world where fashion and interiors can meet. Rabanne was the perfect collaborator, with Julien Dossena bringing his visionary approach to radical modernism to interiors for the first time. We’re excited to present a wide-ranging collection that builds on the heritage of the house but infuses it with contemporary relevance, as well as playful twists with pieces that will make perfect gifts for the holiday season,”

says Evelina Kravaev-Söderberg, Head of Design & Creative at H&M HOME.

Rabanne H&M HOME will be available in selected stores and online on hm.com/home from 9th November 2023.

H&M HOME ♥SAVE THE CHILDREN

The new H&M HOME interior collection sheds light on the importance of children having a moment to play and relax in a safe space when experiencing a humanitarian crisis. Save the Children sets up Child Friendly Spaces in war zones, natural disasters, and other emergencies to provide children with a protected environment where they can participate in organised activities to play, socialise, learn, and express themselves as they rebuild their lives.

The intergalactic-inspired collection embodies the wonder of the cosmos and the warmth of the home, a lovely addition to the room of your little ones. Each item is carefully designed to infuse a touch of inspiration, imagination, and comfort into your child’s living area. Explore the universe with H&M HOME and bring a piece of it into your own home.

From a star-shaped sequined cushion that illuminates your child’s room with the shimmer of stars to a space ship rug allowing one’s imagination to embark on interstellar adventures from the comfort of one’s own home, a tufted cushion in the shape of a happy planet, a navy bedding set in a space print alongside a rocked shaped reading nook that allows your little one to create a cosy corner for bed-time adventures and relax in their own planetary paradise before drifting off to sleep among the stars — the new H&M HOME ♥Save The Children collection has it all.

Other charming pieces include a measure stick adorned in planets and spaceships that will measure your children’s growth as they reach for the stars, soft toys in the shape of a spaceman and aliens in two colourways that come with a matching soft alien one-piece in two colours — playmates from another world for the little explorer — in addition to playful interior accessories including an empowering flag emblazed with the words “My space” and a glow-in-the-dark banner lighting up dreams with a touch of magic.

10% of the sales price of the H&M HOME ♥Save the Children collection will be donated to the organisation and its efforts to give children of crisis-affected countries a chance to have the childhood they deserve.

SOFT, SWEET AND LOVELY: H&M TEAMS UP WITH ICONIC BABY BRAND SOPHIE LA GIRAFE FOR A NEWBORN COLLECTION

As autumn turns into winter, the Sophie la girafe x H&M collection focuses on everything newborns need: cosy layering pieces, hooded details and warmer materials. There are soft and comfortable bodysuits, matching bottoms, velour dungarees, pyjamas, a warm pile jacket, tops and hats. Matching sets include a velour cardigan and bottoms and a knitted jacquard set. And for dressier moments, there’s a cute dress with ruffled collar and a polo shirt with an adorable bowtie.

Every piece is perfect for gifting, too. Especially with a colour palette that comes from Sophie herself – warm browns and crisp white – while the prints include repeating patterns of Sophie and classic mini dots. The jersey and jacquard knits are made from organic cotton, the velour made from organic cotton and recycled polyester, and fuzzy pile from recycled polyester.

We’re honoured to be the first fashion brand that collaborates with Sophie la girafe. The tactility of the iconic toy was the starting point of our designs which landed in a collection of soft materials, sweet patches and embroidery, and a warm, natural colour palette. Each piece is the perfect gift to new parents, but also because of their timeless designs, can be passed on to other babies so they have a longer life. We’re thrilled with the collection and can’t wait to share it with parents worldwide!” says Sofia Löfstedt, Head of Design and Creative H&M Kids.

For the global campaign, H&M evokes the core of Sophie la girafe and translates it into fashion. Delicate details, gentle materials and cute, unique prints come to the fore in the new collection.

“Sophie la girafe is renown all around the world so for a fashion collaboration, H&M is a natural choice. We both share values around babies’ wellbeing, quality and style, which really comes through in the collection. We were drawn towards H&M’s approach to circularity and the choice of organic or recycled materials for this collection, as this is also an important approach for the Sophie the girafe brand. Everything is incredibly thought through, from the clothing designs to the prints — and we love how Sophie has come to life through these garments,”

says Stéphanie Arnaud, Deputy General Manager at VULLI/ Sophie la girafe.

With the Sophie la girafe x H&M collection, the iconic toy truly comes alive. Embracing the fashion world, it’s a collaboration that’ll captivate many babies and parents around the globe – from head to toe.

H&M HOLIDAY 2023: EDGY CLASSICS AND A CELEBRATION OF TOGETHERNESS

In a monochrome colour palette of black, white and silver, the collection’s key pieces include a tuxedo bandeau, cropped sequin jacket with bow tie-ups, poplin tuxedo shirt, column skirts and shimmering dresses. Strong shoulders, narrow waists and fluid lines hold sway, while exaggerated bows, oversized ruffles and shimmer elements elevate each piece. Trousers are long, wide and full, while sculptural draping can be seen in asymmetric jersey dresses and versatile tops. Accessories also take the high-shine route with bijou party bags, ornate shoes, hair bows and shimmering jewellery.

“For the holiday season, we wanted to explore the dialogue between womenswear and menswear. So while the collection has strong elements of the tuxedo and tailoring, we made sure to balance it with graceful draping and shiny embellishments. The look and feel is classic yet edgy, and ideal for celebrating with loved ones,”

says Eliana Masgalos, Concept Designer at H&M.

To bring the H&M Holiday 2023 collection to life, the campaign centres around ‘togetherness’ and features names such as Mila Jovovich, Bobby Gillespie and Paloma Elsesser with their families. Photographed by Mikael Jansson and styled by Suzanne Koller, the campaign will launch globally on November 9.

H&M MOVE: A BETTER WAY TO GET OUT THERE, HOWEVER YOU MOVE

THE OUTDOORS IS FOR EVERYONE.

This is the key message behind H&M Move’s latest collection: a range of high-performance, technical, outerwear that – with its affordable price points – brings the many benefits of our outdoor spaces within easy reach.

This autumn, H&M Move is challenging the notion that different outdoor pursuits demand different outdoor gear; the development of innovative and trademarked performance materials has allowed H&M Move to further explore the belief that one great functional wardrobe can unlock a world of outdoor activities. With this, the brand is asking its customers to use this new collection of outdoor products however they move. Whether it’s reconnecting on woodland runs, recharging on mountain hikes, or exploring a new city this season, H&M Move’s multipurpose outdoor layers and unique material technologies are set to democratise our natural playgrounds and the ways we enjoy them. Not only that, but they’ll do so mainly using recycled materials and highly competitive price points.

These H&M Move materials – StormMove™, ThermoMove™, and DryMove™ – all hit the sweet spot between impressively high performance, durability, design, functionality, and affordability. To achieve this meant working closely with textile mill partners to rewrite the manufacturing process, as well as designers at Grand Studio, the expert outdoor agency. While each material underwent a series of rigorous performance tests, H&M Move’s StormMove™ 3-Layer Shell Jacket also proved itself in the wear test labs of Progressive Sports – an independent sports consultancy – where it demonstrated its bold breathability, waterproofness, thermoregulation, and functionality. The results? Data evidence that shows H&M Move is on par with the performance and functionality of outdoor market leaders. Combining these material technologies with the taped seams, meticulously placed ventilation features, adjustable hoods, and generous storage pockets that run through the range, H&M Move’s latest collection is ready to get us all out there, for longer, in great comfort.

“With this collection, we want to inspire every Mover to get outside and enjoy the benefits of moving. While pieces are constructed to protect against the elements and are adjustable to weather conditions and body temperature, they can easily double as everyday streetwear as well,”

says Mfon Boman, H&M Move’s Outdoor Product Manager.

The collection features relaxed silhouettes, organic-shaped cutlines, and an earthy colour palette that is energised by lively pops of purple throughout. Key pieces include lightweight and technical StormMove™ jackets made for whatever pursuit you throw at your trails; padded ThermoMove™ vests built for easily layering up or down; and trousers with four-way stretch to hold no adventurer back from reaching their outdoor goals.

H&M Move is a movement brand. We celebrate movement and invite the world to move. We make stylish and functional movewear accessible to everybody, in a more sustainable way.

H&M TEAMS UP WITH THE KIDSRIGHTS FOUNDATION FOR AN EDUTAINMENT PLATFORM TO EMPOWER YOUNG CHANGEMAKERS AROUND THE WORLD

The collaboration with KidsRights represents the next phase of H&M’s global initiative Role Models, which launched in early 2021 to enable and elevate kids working on making the world a better place. Role Models recognises kids and their creative minds as a true force of change, empowering them to tell their stories, inspire others, and provide them with access to resources for bigger and more long-lasting impact. Kids are the future, and H&M believes they should be able to impact how that future looks. With Role Models, H&M champions all young changemakers around the world and supports them in their endeavours to grow a community of change.

“We’re excited to be collaborating with the KidsRights Foundation on the State of Youth Kids online platform. It’s a wonderful continuation to the journey of H&M’s Role Models initiative – we get to focus on how to truly enable all changemakers out there. Instead of just talking about the future, we want to meaningfully support kids’ efforts with a fun learning experience that also builds confidence. Because you’re never too little to dream big and change the world,”

says Karin Brinck, Head of Sustainability, H&M Kids

The KidsRights Foundation was founded in 2003 by Marc Dullaert. It’s a recognized and acknowledged international children’s rights organisation based in Amsterdam that empowers changemakers and demands global attention for children’s rights as set out by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. KidsRights act, research and speak out – together with children – to move the world. Since 2005, KidsRights awards the prestigious annual International Children’s Peace Prize. Past winners include Malala Yousafzai and Greta Thunberg.

“Both KidsRights and H&M believe that children have the right to participate and can move the world in a positive way, improving children’s rights, at home, at school, in their community. In our collaboration we are reaching out to as many kids as possible around the globe, to empower them as future Changemakers”,

says Marc Dullaert, founder and chairman of KidsRights Foundation.

ABOUT KIDSRIGHTS
