H&M STUDIO’S SS25 COLLECTION PUTS FIERCE SUITING AND POOLSIDE OUTFITS IN THE SPOTLIGHT.

“For SS25, we looked to the power woman and imagined her whole day – not just corporate life – because her strength and sense of style goes beyond the 9-to-5. She needs it all: tailoring, statement dresses, shirting, easy separates and denim. But in a way that brings together gravitas and glamour,” says Linda Wikell, designer H&M Studio

Sharp coats that call to mind a bathrobe, a business shirt and sexy bodysuit in one, and swimsuits that double as a going out top. Throughout the collection, leather, cotton-blend boucle, a knitted Ottoman ribbed fabric and a special boucle-style denim lend structure and texture, while a colour palette of corporate grey, greige, black, white, scarlet red and water blue signal a daring attitude.

The key pieces reinforce the female silhouette while flirting with the executive lifestyle. The long black belted coat is crafted from a thin boucle fabric and has prominent shoulders. The shirt-bodysuit is a classic blue with contrast white collar and cuffs, while a grey draped mini-dress has a shawl detail. There’s also a coordinating shirt and suit set in a distorted underwater print and a grey cropped funnel-neck nylon jacket. Accessories include an oversized, water-repellent waterproof clutch, metal frame sunglasses and shoes with angular shapes.

ABOUT H&M STUDIO

H&M Studio is H&M’s most directional, fashion-forward offering. Launched in 2013 and developed by an in-house design team at the brand’s Stockholm atelier, the limited-edition collections are unveiled several times a year.

ANNOUNCING MAGDA BUTRYM H&M: FEMININITY IN BLOOM

The partnership marks the first time in H&M’s twenty-year history of pioneering designer collaborations that the brand has worked with a Polish designer. The collaboration spotlights Magda Butrym’s heritage and unique voice: it is a celebration of femininity in bloom, and an invitation to explore a romantic universe of Slavic style.

“I really see this collection as a chance to invite people into our world – and to celebrate femininity, and the flower. Each piece brings its own sense of Slavic romance, while paying homage to the history of our brand.”

– Magda Butrym

The collection uses a rose as its central motif. To Magda, it is the perfect symbol of womanhood: both soft and confident, delicate and independent, arresting and ever-growing.

The collection also marks the 10-year anniversary of the Magda Butrym brand, presenting the opportunity for a revisiting of the brand’s most beloved silhouettes. It features various iconic garments from the house’s archive, from diaphanous dresses that recall petals and blooming flowers, through to wide-shouldered tailoring and structured, oversized coats. Key pieces in the collection include a red ruffled gown, which conjures the feel of a bouquet of red roses, a sweeping crochet lace gown, and a rich burgundy leather coat. All embody the essence of the collection, showcasing Magda’s signature blend of femininity, boldness, and intricate craftsmanship.

Other highlights include jersey dresses, in the collection’s signature tones of pinks and reds, as well as a striking rose print. The dresses envelope the body and offer a versatile and modern look. Timeless black tailoring, with a strong shoulder and a rose jacquard lining, shows Magda’s skill for architecture. Accessories include strappy sandals with flowers at the heels, iconic flower earrings rendered in silver crystals, and silk headscarves that reinterpret Polish femininity with an elegant, contemporary edge.

“We are thrilled to be inviting people into Magda’s powerful and poetic world. The collection is full of vitality and joy and speaks to Magda’s exceptional skill for interpreting contemporary femininity in rich and unique ways.”

TYLA, FKA TWIGS AND CAROLINE POLACHEK SHINE IN H&M’S FESTIVAL-READY S/S 2025 COLLECTION

The collection will be released in two chapters, which complement each other but offer their own unique perspective and attitude. Together, they pay homage to the multi-faceted nature of contemporary femininity. The first drop conjures an air of ethereal bohemia. It offers a fresh take on Spring style, from festival dressing to city chic, all while paying homage to the icons of fashion history, with nods the sweeping blouses of iconic glam rock musicians and the fluidity and androgyny of New Romantic styling.

“This season, we were inspired by different stages and moments of women’s lives and the richness of femininity. We wanted to offer exceptional pieces that bring energy and light. A sense of escape felt very relevant: we wanted to play with a beautiful bohemia, rock icons and festival freedom,”

– Eliana Masgalos, Design Director, H&M

The mood is a subtle and dreamy nostalgia, which blends past and present in captivating ways. Heirloom-style pieces are updated with an urban and refined edge. 70s, 90s, and today all combine. The mood is carefree and yet sharply confident. Each piece conveys an ethereal and sensual bohemia.

The collection is rich in classic rock ‘n’ roll staples, from voluminous sheer blouses through to lace-up shirting and tunics. Pieces shine with intriguing textural detailing, from ornate edging on collars and cuffs, intricately crocheted dresses, mini-skirts with braiding or stitch embellishments, and laser-cut pleated ruffle skirts, tiered for maximum movement. Structured, tougher elements add balance –from a striking studded blazer to 70s multi-pocket jackets, rendered in leather.

Accessories speak of boho-spirit: there are slouchy shoulder bags in a variety of scales and finishes, including with lace-up seams. These can be styled with snake-print slippers and waist-belts, and festival-ready biker boots. Jewellery includes antique-style dangling pendant necklaces, tassel earrings, chunky bangles and chokers, and rings and elegant cuffs in both metal and resin-style materials. Pilot-style sunglasses complete the look.

The collection is the perfect marker for Spring: filled with a sense of freedom, vitality, spirit and light. It will be celebrated with a festival blending fashion and music in Los Angeles on 9 April. This event will pay homage to the city, celebrating its dynamic relationship to cinema, sound and style. More details will be announced shortly.

H&M&LA: DOECHII, ROBYN AND JAMIE XX HEADLINE A ONE-OFF FESTIVAL IN LOS ANGELES, IN HONOUR OF H&M’S S/S 2025 COLLECTION

Guests including Tyla, Amelia Gray, Dakota Fanning, Lisa Rinna, Amelia Dimoldenberg, Dixie D’Amelio and Barbie Ferreira took in the atmosphere as the music set the tone for a night of style and sound.

“Last night was really special. The energy was just right, the vibe was EVERYTHING”

– Doechii

The event paid homage to the heritage and resilience of Los Angeles, while spotlighting the city’s influence on film, music, art and fashion. It united icons with emerging stars, highlighting H&M’s passion for uplifting both established and developing talent, as well as global and local voices. Food and drink partners, including In-N-Out, Pink’s Hot Dogs and Kogi BBQ Tacos, continued the tribute to Los Angeles’ iconic culture.

“All of us at H&M wanted this event to be a love letter to the people and city of LA. This one-of-a-kind festival is a celebration of fashion, music, joy, and community – the very heart of what H&M is all about.”

– Jörgen Andersson, Chief Creative Officer, H&M

The H&M&LA festival was open to all, via social media sign-ups. It continued the spectacular run of open-access celebrations that H&M pioneered last year with a series of global mega-happenings that encompassed a Times Square take-over and various concerts in cities such as London, Paris and Stockholm. H&M is known for its rich history of musical collaborations, and this festival continued that legacy by inviting guests to immerse themselves in sound across two separate stages and a special club, all while exploring a visual world of cinematic moments and digital displays.

The event marks the arrival of the second chapter of the ethereally bohemian S/S 2025 collection. The collection nods to the history of music, evoking the romantic sheers of festival style icons, the eclecticism of rock and roll fashion, and the vintage allure of Glam Rock and New Romantic styling. The second chapter blends these references with a romantic minimalism, bringing clean lines and a sun-kissed palette. The collection will be available online and in stores from 10 april.
